Paper-first market-making system
PairLock
A research-grade market-making engine and live React dashboard designed to measure whether an apparent edge survives real order books, fees, delays and disciplined risk limits.
- Paper-first
- default operating mode
- 4
- independent kill switches
- Triple-consent
- live-mode arming
The constraint
Backtests and optimistic paper fills can make weak strategies look profitable. The useful product was not another promise—it was an environment that makes bad assumptions visible before capital is involved.
What I built
I built an event-driven Node.js engine with conservative fill simulation, reservation-based exposure controls and a terminal-style operating dashboard. Live execution is deliberately difficult to enable and protected by independent stop mechanisms.
Ownership
Quantitative research, execution architecture, simulation rules, risk controls, dashboard design, Docker delivery and operational runbooks.
- Node.js
- React
- TypeScript
- WebSockets
- Docker
- Prometheus-style health checks
